As we reach September, we have some important dates coming up for the remainder of the year. The Medicare Annual Enrollment period will be here before you know it which means lots of commercials advertising new plans for both Medicare Advantage and Part D Prescription Drugs. As an independent agent, this is my busiest time of year and I look forward to speaking with everyone that wants to review their plan options for 2021.
Dates to remember:
October 1, 2020 - Marketing for Medicare Advantage Plans and Part D Prescription Drug plans begins. (This means we can look over the details of the new plans together)
October 15, 2020 - Start of the Annual Enrollment Period. During this time, we can take enrollments for Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans. You can also leave a Medicare Advantage Plan and go back to Original Medicare. All changes will be effective January 1, 2021.
December 7, 2020 - End of the Annual Enrollment Period. All applications and enrollments for 2021 plan changes must be completed by December 7th.
This year I'm offering to practice safe social-distancing while reviewing your options and making changes to your plans. I'm able to still serve as your agent and assist you with your questions about your coverage and take enrollments electronically. I encourage you to email me or call me at 309-696-7933 to schedule a time to review your options during the Annual Enrollment Period. I'm also able to assist with your other policies and look for potential savings for you. This year, we can work on your Medicare plans from our comfy chairs.
