Reviewing Your Needs

No Two People Are Alike

Not every person wants or needs the same things in life and this holds true for insurance as well. I take a needs-based approach to analyzing your situation and help you determine what types of coverage are right for you. Personal attention is important and I value the relationships I have with my clients. You may already have the best plan available for you, and I’m not going to tell you otherwise just to sell you a policy. By answering a few simple questions, you’ll be able to figure out what areas of your life are well-protected and identify things that put you at potential risk for financial hardship. My goal as your agent is to provide protection in the areas that you find are at risk and help give you peace of mind that the unexpected can be handled with ease.

Here are some questions to consider before we meet.

  1. Have you had any medical claims in the past 2 years?
  2. What Parts of Medicare do you currently have?
  3. Do you carry a Medicare Supplement or a Medicare Advantage plan?
    • What Plan/Company do you have?
    • Why did you decide on that plan?
    • How much does it cost?
  4. Do you have a history of cancer, heart attack, or stroke in your family?
  5. If your health insurance requires co-payments or co-insurance, how will you pay for them?
  6. Have you had family members use home health care or go into a nursing home?
    • How did they pay for it?
    • How would you pay for it?
  7. Do you currently have a life insurance policy?
    • What is the death benefit?
    • What is your premium?
    • What is the cash value?
    • If you have life insurance, what purpose does it serve?
(income replacement, final expenses, outstanding debts, help family financially)
    • Have you made arrangements to take care of final expenses?
  8. Are you concerned with the cost of dental care, vision care, or hearing care?
    • Do you have a policy that covers these expenses?
  9. Have your retirement savings been adversely impacted by low interest rates or volatility in the market?
    • Are you interested in learning about what insurance products provide market-based growth with zero risk to your principal?

After reviewing your answers with you, I can identify the policies you have that are working great already and make recommendations on areas where you might benefit from changes to your coverage. As your agent, I always regard your needs first and foremost and make sure you feel confident with your coverage decisions.

A More Personalized Approach

Purchasing groceries without a shopping list can mean forgetting things you need and buying things you don't. The same is true for insurance. The first step to making the insurance decision that is best for you is to determine what your needs are and what policies you have that are working great already. The best way for me to help you is to start with a conversation about your unique situation. It all begins with a meeting.

I can meet in-person, via the phone, or even via video-conference with my laptop and your internet-connected computer, smartphone or tablet. Simply fill out the form below and I'll be in touch shortly to schedule a time to review your needs, answer your questions, and hopefully make this all seem easier to understand. Or if you prefer, you can call me directly at 309-696-7933.
